Artist's Information
I am a ceramic artist working from my studio in Hackney, East London. I use porcelain throwing bowls, disks and cylinders which are assembled to create vessels. The surface decoration is bold bands of black velvet glaze which contrasts strikingly with the white porcelain body. The interiors often feature a brightly coloured glaze.

I also create strange animal like creatures that straight out of my imagination and make me want to laugh as I make them. I work in Earthstone and use black and white for their markings.

Much of my childhood was spent in East Africa and Kuwait and I have translated this experience into a personal, creative and contemporary statement in my work.
